Zehn Jahre lang hat sich der Translators' Companion als
Informationsquelle zur literarischen Übersetzung in Europa bewährt. Für
die neue Internet-Version wurde er komplett aktualisiert und ergänzt.
Wer Literatur übersetzt oder übersetzen lässt, findet im Translators'
Companion umfassende Informationen. Die Datenbank enthält detaillierte
Angaben über nationale und internationale Interessenverbände, über die
europäischen Übersetzerzentren sowie einige andere Häuser, in denen
Übersetzende in Ruhe an einem Projekt arbeiten können, über Aus- und
Weiterbildungsangebote für LiteraturübersetzerInnen und schließlich über
die verschiedenen Förderungsformen für literarische Übersetzungen und
ÜbersetzerInnen in Europa bzw. darüber hinaus.
Der Translators' Companion im Internet ist unter der Ägide von CEATL,
der europäischen Dachorganisation der Literaturübersetzer-Verbände, und
mit finanzieller Unterstützung von Institutionen in mehreren Ländern
Europas entstanden.

Over the past ten years the Translators' Companion has proven itself as
a source of information on literary translation in Europe. It has been
completely updated and supplemented for the Internet version.
Anyone who translates literature, or has it translated, will find
comprehensive information in the Translators' Companion. The database
comprises details on national and international associations, European
translators' centres, including several other institutions where
translators can work in peace on a project, as well as training and
further education offered for literary translators, and the various
forms of support available for literary translators in Europe and
beyond.
The Translators' Companion on the Internet has come into being under the
auspices of CEATL, the European Council of Associations of Literary
Translators, and with the financial support of institutions in several
European countries.

Voilà maintenant 10 ans que le Translators Companion fait ses preuves en
Europe comme source d'information professionnelle sur la traduction
littéraire. Cette version Internet a été l'occasion d'une mise à jour
intégrale et de nombreux ajouts.
Quiconque traduit ou fait traduire de la littérature trouvera dans le
Translators Companion des renseignements approfondis à ce sujet. La base
de données contient des références détaillées sur les associations de
traducteurs nationales ou internationales, sur les centres de traduction
européens ainsi que sur quelques autres lieux permettant de travailler
tranquillement à un projet, sur les offres de formation universitaire et
continue destinées aux traducteurs littéraires, mais aussi sur les
différentes formes de soutien financier accordées aux traducteurs
littéraires en Europe et au-delà.
Le Translators Companion sur Internet a été conçu sous l'égide du CEATL,
le Conseil européen des associations de traducteurs littéraires, et avec
le concours financier d'institutions de plusieurs pays d'Europe.
